  • How do I obtain a forklift ticket?

    The Workplace Health and Safety Regulation 2011 state that you must receive formal training (through a Registered Training Organisation) and meet operatonal standards prior to undertaking the assessment.

  • Can I use my NZ forklift ticket in Australia?

    No, a New Zealand Forklift Licence is not recognised as a Licence to Operate High Risk Work in Australia. You can contact Workplace Health and Safety Directly on 1300 655 986 for more information. A current NZ Forklift licence and verifiable evidence of previous operational experience may be able to be used as part of a Recognition of Prior Learning process. In most cases gap training may also apply.

  • Is the forklift licence a National Licence?

    Yes. A Licence to Perform High Risk Work (Forklift Non Pedestrian Operated – LF) is now a Nationally Recognised Licence.

  • What is an Order Picking Forklift, and does it require a different licence to a Forklift Licence?

    An Order Picking Forklift is a separate forklift class (LO) and therefore requires a separate forklift licence. This means a separate Training and Licencing process.

  • How old do I need to be to get my forklift licence?

    You must be 18 years old to obtain your forklift licence.

  • My forklift licence has been lost – how do I get a replacement licence?

    You should contact Workplace Health and Safety on 1300 362 128 and they will be able to provide you with information on how to obtain a replacement licence.
